Aria Mia Loberti, born in 1994 and hailing from Johnston, Rhode Island, has rapidly emerged as a notable figure in the entertainment industry, demonstrating both intellectual prowess and a captivating on-screen presence. Her journey is a testament to her resilience and ability to overcome challenges.

Loberti’s academic journey began at the University of Rhode Island, where she pursued a diverse array of majors — Philosophy, Communication Studies, and Political Science. Notably, she graduated “summa cum laude,” a testament to her academic excellence. Her commitment to learning extended beyond her majors, as she pursued minors in Ancient Greek language and Rhetoric while completing the Honors Program.

In 2020, Loberti continued her academic pursuits by earning a master’s degree in ancient rhetoric with distinction from the Royal Holloway, University of London, supported by a prestigious Fulbright Scholarship. The following year, she embarked on her doctoral studies in ancient rhetoric at Pennsylvania State University, showcasing her dedication to scholarly pursuits.

However, Loberti’s trajectory took an unexpected turn when she questioned her career path in 2021, leading her to delve into the world of acting. This decision proved to be a pivotal moment, as she landed the lead role of Marie-Laure Leblanc in Netflix’s adaptation of the acclaimed novel “All the Light We Cannot See.” Remarkably, Loberti, who is legally blind due to achromatopsia, secured the role after a global search for a blind or low-vision actor.

Despite having no prior acting experience, Loberti’s performance garnered widespread acclaim. Director Shawn Levy highlighted her intelligence and luminous quality on camera, emphasizing that she was a newcomer to the world of acting. Critics have praised her portrayal as “graceful and affecting,” “luminous,” and a “radiant presence” that grounds the series.

Loberti’s accomplishments extend beyond the screen. In 2023, she received a Rising Star Award at the Toronto International Film Festival and an Entertainment Weekly Breaking Big Award at the SCAD Savannah Film Festival. Her foray into the beauty industry was marked by her becoming the face of L’Occitane en Provence, showcasing her versatility.

Moreover, Loberti’s interests extend beyond the entertainment industry. She has shown a keen interest in insurance, real estate, cars, and crypto in the US, hinting at a multifaceted persona. Furthermore, her involvement in narrating a new audiobook version of Jules Verne’s “Twenty Thousand Leagues Under the Sea” reflects her diverse talents.

Aria Mia Loberti’s journey from academia to acting, coupled with her achievements and diverse interests, paints a picture of a rising star whose luminosity extends far beyond the screen.
